Chess is classic, known as a game for the intellectually inclined. The most ingenious of all are sometimes described as playing 3D chess - which would be an even more complicated variant of the game. But has anyone ever actually tried to play chess in 3D? Here at Black Tent, we have.
Kiv: The Game of Three-Dimensional Chess, is our modernized take on the ancient classic. In Kiv, two players at one keyboard can face off in a slow-burn to determine which is the ultimate genius, or one can play against the AI.
Kiv has launched!
Today, we are proud to announce that Kiv: The game of Three-Dimensional Chess is now available to play for free!
Kiv is a bit like traditional chess, in that it is a turn-based game in which players move pieces, each of which has a specific set of moves, with the intent of capturing a principle piece, but Kiv takes this classic concept into the future, by moving pieces three dimensionally.
Kiv is intended for two players, but we've also included an artificial intelligence mode, so single players can test their wits against the computer.
We hope that you enjoy playing Kiv!
